GENESEO, ILL. (05/24/24) – Springfield Armory® is proud to announce that it has accepted two Golden Bullseye Awards from the National Rifle Association at the 2024 Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Dallas, Texas.

Now in their 22nd year, the NRA Publications Golden Bullseye Awards acknowledge the finest products available in the shooting sports. The winners are selected by a committee of NRA Publications staff, representing more than a century of collective experience in the shooting and hunting industry.

The first award was for the Model 2020 Rimfire .22 LR bolt-action rifle, chosen as NRA Publications’ American Rifleman 2024 Golden Bullseye Rifle of the Year. The second award was for the Echelon™ 9mm pistol, chosen as NRA Publications’ Shooting Illustrated 2024 Golden Bullseye Handgun of the Year.

The Model 2020 Rimfire bolt-action rifle is offered in two primary versions — the wood-stocked Classic Model and the synthetic-stocked Target Model. Each Model 2020 Rimfire ships with a .22-caliber rotary magazine cross-compatible with Ruger® 10/22®-pattern magazines of the same capacity, offering versatility without compromise. The Target Model is threaded to accept suppressors and muzzle devices, while the Classic Model features a sporter contour barrel.

The Echelon 9mm pistol sets a new standard for modern, striker-fired duty pistols and was designed to be the finest duty-grade pistol on the market. At the heart of the advanced Echelon lies the patent-pending Central Operating Group. This entirely self-contained and serialized stainless steel chassis can be easily moved between available grip modules in seconds.

Further adding to the Echelon’s adaptability is its truly innovative Variable Interface System, which employs patent-pending self-locking pins to ensure you maintain consistent and reliable point of aim/point of impact with a mounted optic. In addition, the pins can be positioned to fit the footprints of a wide range of popular optics, allowing for an unparalleled direct-mount fit.

“Springfield Armory is extremely proud to have received not just one of these esteemed awards for 2024, but two,” said Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory. “We believe that both these firearms represent an unparalleled level of quality and performance, and these awards show that the experts at the National Rifle Association agree.”
