GENESEO, ILL. (12/04/24) – The Armory Life is pleased to announce the release of the Winter 2024 issue of The Armory Life print magazine, featuring a cover story on the new 1911 AOS line of optics-ready pistols. This quarterly print magazine complements the daily digital content available on TheArmoryLife.com.

Since its launch five years ago, The Armory Life website has proven to be an outstanding resource for firearms-oriented content. It delivers exciting and in-depth daily posts created by some of today’s most respected experts in the firearms community. With the launch of the full-color, 96-page quarterly print magazine in early 2021, fans of The Armory Life were given an entirely new medium for consuming this content.

The Winter 2024 issue’s cover story represents our detailed feature review of the new AOS (Agency Optic System) line of Springfield Armory 1911 pistols. Taking a classic 20th century design into the 21st, these impressive pistols future-proof the proven 1911 platform.

In addition, the issue features an in-depth interview with Brandon Maddox, CEO and founder of Silencer Central. Simplifying the complex process of acquiring a suppressor, Maddox’s Silencer Central has revolutionized how we buy these fascinating products. Be sure to check out the whole story in the issue.

Also in the issue are reviews of new products such as the integrally compensated 1911 DS Prodigy Comp, the Model 2020 Boundary bolt-action rifle, Fiocchi’s Hyperformance Handgun Hunting & Wilderness Defense 10mm, and much more. Further rounding out the issue is a piece by Capt. Dale Dye about his time as senior military advisor for the Apple TV+ miniseries “Masters of the Air.”

This print magazine is designed to integrate closely with its digital sibling website, featuring easy-to-use QR codes throughout. Simply open your camera app on your smartphone and scan the code, and you’ll be taken online to expanded content and video segments.

Recipients of The Armory Life print magazine are selected from Springfield Armory warranty registrants. Currently, subscribers receive two years’ worth (eight issues) of the magazine.

“With so many great Springfield Armory products from which to choose, selecting the ‘cover gun’ for this issue was no easy task,” said Mike Humphries, editor-in-chief of the magazine. “In the end, the breadth of the offerings within the 1911 AOS line — as well as the innovative nature of the AOS system itself — made the three pistols showcased on the cover of this issue a great choice.”
